By taking part you agree to the following:
We take your safety seriously and take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
We want our clients to have fun and feel comfortable during their lessons, and strongly advise all of our students wear full safety equipment, including: helmet, elbow pads and knee pads at all times during our lessons.
If you do not have safety equipment, we can provide a full set of safety equipment free of charge.

Please read the waiver form and sign before your session. I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT,
including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may
arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or
entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or
property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their
possible liability without fault.I agree to abide by the Usk8 code of
conduct and obey the instructions of the Usk8 staff, leaving the
skatepark immediately on being asked to do so. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form
will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers (Usk8) of
the activity in which I may participate, and that it will govern my

application and permitting me to participate in this activity,

While in a skatepark lesson
you abide to listen to the Usk8 instructor and do your best to stay near
by while watching out for other park users. You also abide that if you
choose to practice after a lesson Usk8 is not held accountable for any
injuries that may occur.
You must give atleast 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or re-arrange a booked lesson. Failing to do so will result in a non-refundable payment.
Wet Weather
We at USk8 try to do our best to be flexibly when it comes to wet weather. We will re-arrange your booking to another day that fits you. Unless you would like to recommend a location that is under cover and close by to Kingston Upon Thames, where the lesson can continue. Please try have a location in mind, if you do not know of any under cover locations near you, do get in touch and we will find one for you.
We will not run a lesson in a location that is wet/slippery as it is a danger to yourself and our instructors.
If a lesson is in progress and it rains you will be charged based on the length of the lesson (up to 45 minutes) and the rest will be discounted towards a rebooking.
Example:
60 minute lesson:
- 20 minutes in and it rains, 50% discount towards a rebooking
- 30 minutes in and it rains, 30% discount towards a rebooking
- 40 minutes in and it rains, no discount towards a rebooking
If you are refused entry to the skatepark for lack of a membership card, we do not refund or reschedule in this circumstance. We have all the information of how to get your card on our skatepark page. You can purchase a card at the gate, but this delay to the start of your lesson is not reimbursed.
Late arrival to lessons:
We run our weekend lessons on a time schedule as we have a lot of demand. If you’re late to a lesson, we cannot extend your lesson to make up for lost time. If the instructor is late, we will then extend to cover your full hour. This includes a quick break if the instructor has requested it.
Please triple check your lesson time, as we cannot extend lessons if you have misread your time slot.
Please leave earlier than what Google Maps suggests, as the area around the skatepark can become busy with traffic and parking is limited.
No show:
We have a 48 hour cancellation period for our lessons. This gives us enough time to fill in that slot with someone else.
If we are not given a heads up for cancellation, your lesson will be charged at the full rate. We do apologies in advance if this happens to you.
On rare occasions lessons will be cancelled from our side. We will give you a heads up notice, this may be due to an injury or the instructor being unwell.
When booking a lesson with Usk8, you have 21 days to request a cash refund. All refunds will exlude a transaction fee, this will be subject to the charge we take from Stripe.
This fee is 1.5% + 20p for the original purchase, this fee is not returned to us if a refund is requested. I.E if you buy one lesson and change your mind, you will be refunded £39.20.
If your lesson is postponed due to the weather, we will do our best to run a lesson within a date suitable for both Usk8 and yourself.
Once the 21 days have past, your lesson is now voucher based and lasts up to a year.
Please understand we do not run active lessons during the Winter Period.
All weekend private lessons are ran within Kingsfield skatepark. Please read this page for more information on location and membership cards.
Other locations can be booked during off peak days (Monday to Friday), but there may be a charge for transport fees.
If you have booked a lesson and the lesson has to be cancelled, and if you cannot make the same time slot on the following weekend. You will be issued a credit code for the value of your purchase to use on a future lesson.
This means you need to find availability to be able to purchase a slot. We cannot work towards reserving future lessons, be it private settings or in our ever growing group lessons.
